DESIGN PROCESS FAQ
Can I get a
Cover-up tattoo?
For the process of a cover-up, I first have to see what your existing tattoo looks like, so I will ask for a photo of it to determine if a I can properly cover up what you have. Depending on darkness, overall shape, and content of which you want the cover-up to be - I will let you know if it is a project I can take on to successfully give you what you want and expect.
Can I ask for a drawing before I make my appointment?
I only begin drawing once you have made an appointment and have confirmed you are coming. I do not do 'auditions' or paid drawing time so please only make an appointment if you are 100% sure on what you want to get on your tattoo day.
What is the first step towards getting a tattoo?
My process is pretty simple, you can send me any reference photos of tattoos/designs you like, and as long as it is something within my style, we can look at dates to get you an appointment. I begin smaller designs 48 hours before your appointment and larger designs a week before your appointment.
Do you use AI?
Nope, Never.
Please do not send me AI references, I will not use them.
What should I expect once my appointment is made?
Once you have your appointment set, I will send you a calendar invite with the location information. I then will start designing your first draft of the tattoo within a week before your appointment day. You will receive the first draft and give any feedback before I final render your tattoo design.
Is there anything I should do before my appointment?
I suggest moisturizing your skin well the week before your appointment, it will help in the healing process to have well-nourished skin.
Drink lots of water, eat healthy/clean foods before your appointment. and anything that makes you feel good.
TATTOO appointment day FAQ
What is your private studio like?
My private studio is a shared space with my husband, Zack Taylor, who is also a tattooer. We pride ourselves on having a very calm atmosphere that feels welcoming and peaceful for our clients. We use essential oils aromatherapy, memory foam bed toppers for comfort, lots and lots of pillows, good vibey music, and theres lots of our artwork on the walls to look at!
What is the overall tattoo day look like?
Come in, get comfy! I will prep your skin (clean, sanitize, and shave). Then I will stencil your tattoo on, make sure you are fully happy with the size and placement, and then get you comfy with pillows and whatever you need. We get started tattooing and we discuss the meaning of life...I check in often and we can take breaks whenever you need them. I am not a big break-taker - so if you want to just keep going, that's cool! Once the tattoo is done, I will take a few photos and will wrap your tattoo with a clear bandage called Saniderm.
Where is the private studio located?
Once you book your appointment, you will receive a calendar invite with the exact location of my private studio. However, we are in the city of Queen Creek, Arizona - the nearest major intersection is Empire and Ellsworth. We have parking for our clients and are in a very safe area.
What payments do you take?
Preferred: Zelle
We also accept
Venmo
Cash
PayPal
Apple Pay
I accept card, but an additional $5 for every $100 is added on.
(Example - $500 tattoo would cost $525 with a card payment)
How long should I expect my tattoo to take?
This is fully dependent on the size and placement of your tattoo, however generally speaking, I am a very efficient tattooer. I get you prepped and stenciled within the first 15 minutes of you arriving and am always ready with inks poured and station set-up so we can get right to it. For a general idea, a grapefruit-sized tattoo takes me about two hours.
What should I bring?
Please bring whatever snacks or drinks you need to keep you hydrated and feeling your best while getting tattooed. We have water and snacks if you forget to bring something.
If you want to bring your laptop or a crochet project, or anything to keep your mind occupied, feel free! I'm always down for a good chat, too, but if you want to zone out, I totally get it!
If you want to bring pillows and blankets, I might just ask that they stay out of the area of the tattoo to keep everything as santittary as possible.
What is the aftercare process?
I have an aftercare card available for you to take with you but overall, you will have a clear Saniderm bandage on when you leave. You can shower with it on and I suggest keeping it on for 24-48 hours. Once you take it off in the shower, use non-scented soap and warm water to wash the tattoo gently. Pat dry with a paper towel and keep lightly moisturized with Coconut oil, Vitamin E Oil, or anything that is natural on non-petrolium based. Keep lightly moist for 48-72 hours after bandage is off and keep clean and dry. I recommend staying out of pools/spas for 2 weeks, and away from excessive sweating for a week.
how long will it take for my tattoo to heal?
Your tattoo should be fully healed within one month of being tattooed. A fully healed tattoo has gone through the flaking/peeling process and looks shiny and feels smooth. These are signs that your body has gone through the complete skin cell regrowth process.
Most of my tattoos heal within 2 weeks, but everyone is different and it might take the full on the for your body.
Different parts of the body also heal differently, for instance an elbow or knee can take a bit longer due to you bending and stretching those areas constantly.

Can I bring a friend?
Since Zack and I tend to work at the same time, we usually politely ask that you come alone - however we do have guest chairs and if you need to bring someone for moral support, we just ask that they stay in the guest seating area to be respectful of the other clients and our space.
